06/27/12 On Friday, June 15th and Saturday, June 16th, Jillian Smith and Alicia Dennie two local twirlers from Plymouth competed in the USTA Mid East Regional Competition in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Twirlers from six states were included in this regional competition.
The Plymouth girls won all three of their pairs events with the top award being Advanced Jr. Pairs. Jillian also won advanced Presentation. Alicia won Beginner Two Baton and Intermediate Strut as well.
Both girls worked very hard this year to be able to compete in the USTA Pre-Trials and both did a great job. Alicia won the Junior AA division so she will continue to the next round at Nationals. Both girls will be competing in Dayton, Ohio beginning on July 9th at the USTA National Championships.
