10/01/12 The Marshall County Coroner’s office assisted the Marshall County Police Department Friday afternoon at a residence on 14th Road near Argos, where a 71 year old man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. James K. Sjoquist of 8146 14th Road took his own life shortly before 1:00 Friday afternoon in the basement of his residence. Mr. Sjoquist was found by his wife who was upstairs at the time preparing lunch.
Office Jonathan Bryant was the lead investigator for the Marshall County Police Department and assisted Marshall County Coroner Bill Cleavenger at the scene. Cleavenger said that his investigation is nearly complete and that both he and the Marshall County Police Department do not suspect any foul play. Mr. Sjoquist’s body was removed to a funeral home in Plymouth following the coroner’s investigation.
