06/25/12 Plymouth Police Chief Jim Cox presented his May departmental activity report to the Board of Public Works and Safety last week. His staff handled 841 calls for information, conducted 464 traffic stops, investigated to 287 complaints and responded to 199 9-1-1 calls.

Plymouth Police officers made 105 traffic arrests in May, issues 62 $2 parking tickets, issued 61 traffic warnings, made 48 criminal arrests, conducted 40 vehicle checks and checked on 33 suspicious persons.

City Police investigated 29 property damage accidents, handled 29 juvenile complaints, conducted 25 welfare checks, issued reports for 22 theft complaints, served 9 warrants, located 6 open doors or windows, responded to 5 domestic fights and 2 battery complaints, initiated the Merchant Protection Plan twice and investigated one personal injury accident last month.
