07/30/12 Mayor Mark Senter is extremely happy with the results of the most recent Farmers’ Market Blood Drive.

This is the second time this summer the Mayor has sponsored a blood drive with the South Bend Medical Foundation.  In May there were a total number of 16 units collected.  Only 4 people signed up to give blood while 18 anticipated donors signed up to give blood and there were 2 deferrals.

The July 12th Farmers’ Market Blood Drive had a much better result with a total of 32 units being collected.  A total of 12 donors sign up in advance and there were 10 deferrals.

Mayor Senter said, “We had an incredible turnout on Saturday and I appreciate everyone’s patience as we registered over 40 donors.”
