05/22/10 The Melody Maker’s of Indiana performed at Miller’s Senior Living Community on Wednesday afternoon, May 16.  Under the direction of Eileen Wright the group sang some well-known songs as well as tunes that were new to the audience.

Looking stunning in their all black outfits and red music- note scarves one could feel the ladies’ enthusiasm as they sang “Be My Baby”, “This Little Light”, “Blue Moon” and more. The song “One Candle” that featured solos by Jane Heydt, Vera Tiani and Gloria Franco.

The group was pleased to have their new accompanist, Cindy Taber with them as their former accompanist, Ann Bigley attended the concert and enjoyed it from the audience. A favorite part of the concert was the sing-a-long in which residents participated as the singers walked through the audience and greeted the residents. The Melody Makers of Indiana were formerly known as the Purdue Home Extension Choir.
