07/20/12 As their special craft in August, residents of Miller’s Senior Living Community chose to make special “thinking of you” cards for Operation Quiet Comfort. Mary Wraight of handcraftedcards@yahoo.com led the craft class. Wraight had all the supplies needed to make beautiful patriotic cards. The residents were encouraged to choose the colors and embellishments they preferred and they created the cards from scratch. Every card made had a personal message from the residents and was signed with their name, city and state. Activity Director Cindy Flagg will then send the cards to a central location inNorth Carolina where Diane Schneider will see that the cards are sent in “Go Bags” or with a staff shipment. The cards are appropriate for any military unit service member.
