05/02/12 Residents of Miller’s Senior Living Community in Plymouth were invited to a spring fashion show at the newest boutique in town, Rock On 109.  There are several connections between the boutique and the Miller’s residents.  Bonnie Rock, boutique owner is the daughter of a former Miller’s resident, and store employee Rachel Kubley is the granddaughter of Millie Bernero and Katie Kubley; both Miller’s residents.   Rachel will graduate from Kent State University in May with a degree in fashion merchandising.  She had the opportunity of interning in New York City for top fashion designer Michael Kors.

Rachel selected many of the outfits that were modeled.  Rachel, store manager Molly McLane and Sarah Jo Hawes were the models.   Special guest models for the event were Miller’s Katie Kubley and Mary Probst.   McLane wrote the descriptions that went with each outfit.  Miller’s Activity Director Cindy Flagg acted as Emcee for the event.

The boutique features many high-end designer names and manufactures such as Style from New York, Saro, Caribe, Pretty Persuasions, Komodo, Janska, Lisbeth Dahl, Mary Frances, Miche and more.  Following the fashion show the residents were served homemade rhubarb punch and cookies.  They were given time to browse through the boutique.
