07/09/12 Last weekend eighty motorcycle riders gathered at the Plymouth American Legion on Saturday to benefit The Heminger House Women and Children’s Shelter.

The riders left the American Legion and proceeded on a tour of the American Legion Clubs of Marshall County.  From Plymouth they traveled through Culver and to the Argos American Legion and after a short stop in Argos, they traveled through Bourbon and stopped at the Bremen American Legion/VFW.  From Bremen the riders finished up the ride back at the Plymouth American Legion where they enjoyed a wonderful meal, music, a silent auction and fellowship.

Volunteers from The Widow Sons Motorcycle Club and F.I.S.T. (Friends In Service Together) Riding Club helped to make the ride a success.  Some of the food was donated by Church of the Heartland.  Preliminary numbers show that the ride made approximately $3000.00 for The Heminger House. The Heminger House Women and Children’s Shelter is run by donations and grants.  If you would like more information about the Shelter, you can reach them at 574-936-SAFE.
