11/07/12 Failure to Appear is number one on the Marshall County Top Ten Offenses for being lodged in the County Jail during October 2012.  The list continues with Operating While Intoxicated and Theft at number three.  Arrests for Probation Violation were the fourth followed by Marijuana.  The sixth reason people were booked into the County Jail last month was for Civil Contempt followed by Driving While Suspended, Illegal Consumption of Alcohol and Battery.  Rounding up the top ten was Court Order Hearings.

There were 172 booked into the jail last month.  Argos Police arrested 3 males while Bourbon officers arrested 2 males.  Bremen Police arrested 9 males and 4 females and Culver officers put 1 male in the Marshall County Jail.  Indiana State Police Troopers arrested 12 males and 3 females in October and Plymouth Officers booked in 32 males and 22 females.  County Police Officers arrested 60 males and 22 females.

Deputies with the Sheriff’s Department investigated 101 accidents, 20 involved personal injury and 81 were property damage. 93 case reports were taken and 28 citations written in October. 774 civil process papers were received and 668 were served.
