		<description>Very interesting show (listening to the Podcast)!  You had mentioned meanness today.   I think this comes from a lot of sources.  

  1.  As you mention, hiding behind the keyboard as you mention relieves the person of any responsibility of their comments.  If a person had to look into the eyes of the target of their comments, they would be thinking twice (or risk a black eye -- figuratively or otherwise).

  2.  TV today.  Though I can see how people might find it entertaining, programs like Simpsons, Married with Children, Family Guy, etc really give a bad example.   It almost blesses the kind of in-your-face behaviour that leads to this meanness.

  3.  Never having been exposed to adversity.   People who have had to struggle to get up have a better sense of how they got to their place in life and have an appreciation of others like themselves.   People who have always had it all don&#039;t.

and lastly....

  4.  Lack of censure.  Nothing else needs to be said...
