05/23/12 Plymouth Police arrested several people over the weekend for Operating While Intoxicated.

Friday evening at 7:23 Officer Nick Young was following a vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Adams and Beerenbrook Streets.  The driver, 26 year old Ashley Leighton of West Madison Street was arrested for OWI and lodged in the Marshall County Jail.  Her bond was set at $3,000 and she is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior Court II on May 29th.

Saturday morning at 1:03 a.m. Officer Jordan Rans conducted a routine traffic stop at the intersection of 5th and Madison Streets.  During the investigation it was determined that the driver, 36 year old Yoel D. T. Dihigo of Hialeah, Florida was intoxicated.  He was arrested and booked into the Jail on a $4,500 cash bond.  He was released at 1:15 a.m. Monday with no judicial review but is scheduled to appear in Superior Court II on May 29th.

Early Sunday morning just after midnight Officer Rans stopped a vehicle on US 30 west of Oak Drive during a routine traffic stop.  The driver, 23 year old Courtney Owens of Michigan Street in Plymouth was found to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated on a controlled substance.  She was booked into the jail on a $1,500 cash bond which was paid at 10:40 a.m. and she was released.  Owns will appear in Superior Court II on May 29th.

The final OWI arrest over the weekend was Sunday night at 9:40 when Officer Jason Dobbins stopped 32 year old Carmen M. Smith of Plymouth at Harrison and 8th Streets.  Smith was arrested for OWI of .15 or more and placed in the County Jail on a $1,500 cash bond.  She is scheduled to appear in Superior Court II on June 12th.
