12/05/12 As a way to generate more revenue for the Plymouth Park Department, members of the Park Board unanimously approved increases to the 2012 fee schedule.
Increases for shelter and picnic sites were not only for residents but for non-residents as well. In fact, resident fees increased $5 a day for city tax payers and approximately $15 for non-tax paying users. Also included in the increases are pool passes, Camp Centennial weekly rates, all league rates for each non-resident player and the rent at the Young Amphitheatre.
There were some long discussions on the rate increases and it was determined that there should be a bigger disparity between those who pay city taxes and those who don’t but use the City parks.
In other business the Plymouth Park Board held an election of officers for 2013. It was unanimously voted to keep the same slate of officers; Dave Morrow President, Mike Kershner as Vice President and Sally Greenlee will serve as Secretary.
The Park Board approved a resolution appropriating $30,000 from the non-reverting operation fund into the non-reverting Capital Improvement Fund. The board also approved the 2013 non-reverting operating fund with an estimated income of $71,150 and expenses of $83,696.
