08/01/12 Matt Starr, a 1984 graduate of Plymouth High School will appear in a television show tonight on ABC.

A standout athlete at Plymouth, Matt attended Manchester College and received a master’s degree from Kent State.  He appeared for a long and distinguished career as a sports psychologist, with an appointment to work at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.  Desert Storm hit and the funding was cut so he found a position with the government working with developmentally disables people.  As life went on Matt decided he could do more in the field by working outside it.

Matt started his own video production company, I-conn Video Productions.   This took off and Starr went in a whole new direction performing on stage, in plays and a few short movies.  He recently director his own movie and does quite a bit of benefit work.

Tonight Matt Starr will play a detective in ABC’s new docuseries “Final Witness.”  The program explores some of the nation’s most shocking murders through interviews with real-life witnesses, family and those involved with the case. Tonight’s story is called a Mother’s Revenge and highlights a mother’s tireless digging that solves the murder of her son, whose decomposed body was found in an Ohio cornfield.

The program airs on ABC at 10 p.m. tonight.
