PHS Music Dept. Christmas Spectacular this Sunday

December 3, 2012
By

12/04/12 The Plymouth High School Music Department will host the 4th annual CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR variety show featuring the entire music department.   The event will be held on Sunday, December 9th, at 3:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.  The theme for this year’s show is “Christmas Around the World” and the show will feature musical numbers from different countries and cultures from around the world.

Admission for this show is $5 for adults and $3 for students and tickets are available only at the door.  Donations of food items will be accepted as well to be given to local food pantries for the holiday season.  Proceeds from the Christmas Spectacular show help enhance the music programs at Plymouth High School.

All of the bands (Jazz Ensembles, Wind Ensemble, and Symphonic Band), the choirs (Counterpoint, Chorale, and Crimson Connection), and the PHS orchestra will all be involved in the show in separate ensembles and mass combined numbers featuring nearly 300 students on stage at once.

“This event has grown into one of our largest musical events of the year.   It is the one time you get to see the entire music department on stage at once working to combine their talents.   The show features both serious and comical musical numbers and festive costuming.  This is a must see show for anyone that enjoys the high school music department,” said band director Bryan Ames.

Please, come and support the PHS music department and enjoy some wonderful Christmas entertainment on December 9th.
