Pilgrims Baseball starts season opener with a Win!

  The 2012 season starts off on a winning note for Head Coach Tony Plothow’s Plymouth Pilgrims with a 7-3 win over South Central.   Senior Hayden Skirvin had a couple of hits with 3 RBI’s on the day.   Senior Jordan Sheetz got his first win on the year, allowing 3 runs, 1 earned,  on just 5 hits.

Plymouth plays their home opener Wednesday (this afternoon) vs South Bend St. Joe at Bill Nixon Field around 4:30pm.
WTCA Pre-Game Show begins around 4:30pm.

The Plymouth JV opened their season with a win vs Rochester. Levi Schuler started the game, went three innings, and picked up the win.  Zach Stone came in the 4th inning with a 3-2 lead and got out of a bases loaded jam with zero outs without giving up a run.  Trent Briles led the hitting attack going 2 – 4 with 3 runs.  Joe Smith and Elijah Nixon each added a pair of rbi’s, going 1-3, and 1-4 respectively.  Joe Smith came in the 7th and picked up the save.  Plymouth JV continues their season this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at home.
