It wasn’t the prettiest first half performance, but one that had 11th ranked Plymouth up by 10 points, 28-18.   The Plymouth defense clamped down on Knox allowing  just four points in the entire second half to finish the game 57-22 to improve to 5-0.

“We didn’t start off well and it carried through the rest of the first half.   We were not pressuring the ball out high and Knox being the good team they are, took advantage of some one-on-one situations we gave them.”, said PHS Coach Dave Duncan.

Plymouth made adjustments at halftime which proved to be the difference by games end.

“We just started guarding the ball higher.  Forcing them where we wanted as opposed to the other way around like the first half.”, said Duncan.  “It was also nice to see Lauren Tanner have a breakout game.  We need her to do more of this.  She was great tonight in ALL aspects of her play, but knocking down those five three-pointers tonight were momentum killers.  Thats a senior stepping up the way we need them too.”

Tanner finished with 17 points including five three’s to lead all scorers in the ballgame.

Plymouth will have 4 of their next 5 games on the road including a Thursday night match against Tippy Valley.
