08/21/12 Plymouth Police arrested a Plymouth man Saturday morning at 3:00 after a domestic battery incident.
Officers were dispatched to the residence at 1114 Lincolnway East at 2:15 after receiving a call of a domestic disturbance. While en-route to the scene officers were advised that the suspect, 33 year old Joshua Sommers of East Jefferson Street had left the scene in a pick-up truck. The female victim was located at the home and had sustained injuries.
In the mean time officers received a report of a traffic accident matching the description of the suspect vehicle in the area of 1010 Ferndale Avenue. Sommers had left the scene of the accident but officers were able to locate him a short time later.
Joshua Sommers was booked into the Marshall County Jail for Domestic Battery, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, Strangulation, and Operator Never Licensed. He was held on a $3,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Marshall Superior Court II on September 4th.
