12/28/12 The Plymouth School Corporation has been named one of only 17 schools in the state to receive an elearning grant from the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE). The competitive grant award of $15,000 will allow several Plymouth teachers and administrators to attend the 2013 Summer eLearning Regional Conference.

On December 12, IDOE Senior eLearning Strategist, Jason Bailey, said, “The Indiana Department of Education’s Office of eLearning believes strongly in providing technology-rich professional development for our Indiana educators and administrators that focuses on student-centered teaching and elearning.” He added, “To ensure that all educators have the opportunity to engage in this type of professional learning, we are supporting Summer eLearning Regional Conferences across that state with a competitive grant of up to $15,000.”

Details of the conference offerings will be released in the spring of 2013.

The grant application for Plymouth was written by Dan Funston, assistant superintendent, Janice Curtis, technology curriculum director, Brooke Busse and Allison Holland. Busse and Holland serve the Plymouth schools as elearning coaches for both students and teachers.
