10/09/12 The City of Plymouth assisted by RATIO Architects, Inc. will hold a public workshop on Tuesday, October 23rdfrom 6:00pm-8:00pm to gather input for the update to the City’s 2003 Comprehensive Plan.  The workshop will take place at the Life Enrichment Center, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth 46563.

Residents, business owners, and anyone interested in contributing to the future vision for Plymouth are encouraged to participate.  Refreshments will be available, and families are welcome.

The workshop will be informal and attendees will be asked to take part in small group activities which may include mapping exercises and surveys to identify Plymouth’s current strengths and weaknesses and to discuss the community’s long-term vision for development and enhancement of the quality of life.  The project team will be available to answer your questions, discuss opportunities, or hear your comments.

Results generated during the workshop will contribute to an update of the City’s Comprehensive Plan.  A comprehensive plan includes goals, polices and recommendations for growth and development to assist community decision makers.  Policies may cover a variety of topics including land use, utilities, redevelopment, transportation, parks and recreation, sustainability and economic development.

A new Plan will ensure that future growth, development, and redevelopment are in line with community values and the City’s collective vision for the future, as well as enhance the community’s eligibility for grant funding.

Community members not able to attend the workshops can visit the project’s website at www.CommunityCollaborate.com. Workshop results, surveys, and eventually drafts of the plan will be posted to this site throughout the course of the project.
