04/18/12 Marshall County Treasurer Debbie VanDeMark said Property Tax Statements were mailed on Tuesday.

The first installment is due May 10th and the second installment is due November 13th.

The Treasurer’s normal office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.  The Treasurer will extend office hours on Wednesday and Thursday May 9th and 10th till 6 p.m.  The office will also be open on Saturday, May 5th from 9 a.m. till noon.

As a courtesy and for your convenience any Lake City Bank, First State Bank in Bourbon, and First Farmers Bank in Culver have kindly agreed to allow you to drop off you payment at their establishments.  The bank will collect payments for the two weeks prior to the due date.

A payment box is located at the south entrance of the County Building although the box will close at 6 p.m. on May 10th.

If you wish to mail you payment and would like a receipt you should include a stamped self-addressed envelope in with your payment.

Property tax payments can also be paid by credit and debit cards at the counter in the Treasurer’s Office, by internet or by calling toll free 1-866-480-8552.

Some property owners may have a pink homestead verification form enclosed with their tax statement.  Please complete the form it you are entitled to have a homestead deduction.  Return the form to the Marshall County Auditor’s office by January 1, 2013.  If you have questions regarding the pink homestead verification form call the Marshall County Auditor’s office at 935-8555.
