11/05/12 The Plymouth Park and Recreation Board will consider approval of the updated 5-Year Plan at their regularly scheduled  Park Board meeting Monday, November 5th.  Copies of the plan have been available at the Park Office and City Office.  Citizens are encouraged to attend the meeting and make any suggestions they would like.

The first amendment of the plan includes the addition of one new priority. The new priority is the construction of a new Hunter Tennis complex.

Since the park department is developing this master plan in house, they used a simplified issue analysis method.  Issues were taken from the public, from the park board and park staff.  The issues were placed in priority order based on financial and other constraints, then turned into a coherent priority and action plan.

Priorities for 2011 through 2015 include a fundraising drive, development of River Park Square, develop phase II of the Greenway Trail, upgrades at the amphitheater, ADA compliant walkways and an All Inclusive Playground,  improve or develop a new pool area, creation of a splash pad, and develop a news tennis facility.

The Park Board meeting begins at 5 p.m. and will be held at the Conservation Clubhouse located at 720 Magnetic Parkway in Plymouth.  If you have any questions, please contact the park office.  936-2876.
