10/22/12 On Sunday, October 14th Lincoln Jr. High was black and gold! Over 60 twirlers turned out for the Fifth Annual Purdue Twirling Clinic, which was hosted by Daphne’s Dolls.

The Golden Girl and Miss Indiana, MerrieBeth Cox, Silver Twins, Jordan Foster and Alyssa Lyzen and the Girl in Black, Cecilia Diazovi put on an amazing baton twirling clinic teaching rolls, body work and challenging new tricks.

Forty local girls, ages 3-18, along with others from Indianapolis, South Bend, Ft. Wayne and Michigan City truly enjoyed this wonderful experience. There were smiles from everyone for the entire three hours!

At the end of the clinic the Purdue Twirlers entertained the audience with some of their half time routine and they also twirled to the Purdue fight song.

Thanks to local sponsors and participants entry fees the Purdue Twirlers received a check for over $1100.00 to help them with supply costs and entries this year.

The event has become quite a success and each year it keeps getting bigger and bigger. Thanks to the sponsors generosity all the twirlers had an amazing day they will never forget.
