2/07/2012  Dean Byers, Executive Director of Rebuilding Together is on the search for groups interested in helping this year’s event.

Rebuilding Together recently held its open house that gave sponsor groups an opportunity to select project homes for the work day set for Saturday, April 28th. This year there were eleven homes approved through the selection process for improvements.
Volunteer groups who have committed to giving their time and talent to improve the lives of low income homeowners  in Marshall County were; Trinity United Methodist Church, the Plymouth Church of the Brethren, and the Tippecanoe Community  and Crossroads Evangelical Church. Those homes remaining for selection are; two in rural Plymouth, two south of Plymouth, one in Bremen and one in Argos.
There is still a big need for sponsor groups to help with this year’s event.  You still have time to pull together a team; work colleagues, a family willing to spend a day helping others, a club or fraternity, school or church groups.  The next step will be to select a project home that you and your team will work on. The new groups will have until Wednesday, February 15th, when the first planning meeting is scheduled, to let their interest be known to Byers. Those interested in making a selection or learning more about Rebuilding Together should call 952-1560 to make an appointment.
