The Lincoln 7th Grade Boys Basketball Team wrapped up their season by winning the conference tournament on Saturday. Lincoln beat Crestview Huntington 39-31 in the final game. Lincoln jumped out to an 11-4 first quarter lead and stayed in front the entire game. Leading the way in the conference championship game was Nick Felke with 18 points while David Bacon added 8 and Ryan Carmichael chipped in with 5.
Redstorm season ends strong at 21-3
In the morning games Lincoln defeated both Warsaw Lakeview and Warsaw Edgewood in hard fought battles that found them trailing at the half in both games. In the first game against Lakeview, the Redstorm trailed 18-14 at halftime but a 38 point second half paved the way for a 52-40 win. In the high scoring 2nd half Nick Felke poured in 26 points and finished the game with 30. John Gerard and Ryan Carmichael added 9 and 8 points respectively.
The second game was a rematch with a tough Warsaw Edgewood team and Lincoln again found themselves trailing 16-12 at the half. Lincoln continued their 3rd quarter dominance with a 15-4 third quarter and finished the game with a 38-33 win. Lincoln utilized a balanced scoring attack with Felke (11), Gerard (10), and Carmichael and Bacon with 7 each.
The Redstorm finished their season with a 21-3 record.
