The Riverside Rockets 6th Grade Boys Basketball A team improved their record to 8-0 after a busy week. On Monday the boys defeated Milford by a score of 38-14. Cam Dennie, Larry Dragani, and Cole Filson each scored 6 points, Clay Hilliard 5 points, Shaun Frantz and Brayson Leazenby both had 4 points, Donny Hilty, Chapman Yoder, and Evan Zeigler each had 2 points, Bryce Carmichael had 1 point. On Tuesday the boys defeated a tough Tippy Valley team 47-28. Larry Dragai led the team with 11 points, Clay Hilliard 9, Cam Dennie 8, Bryce Carmichael 6, Cole Filson 5, Chapman Yoder 4, and Donny Hilty 2. Thursday night the Rockets defeated Oregon Davis by a score of 42-8. Cam Dennie led the team with 8, Donny Hilty and Chapman Yoder 6,Larry Dragani 5, Clay Hilliard 4, Shaun Frantz 3, and Colin Burkins, Bryce Carmichael, Cole Filson, Brayson Leazenby, and Evan Zeigler each with 2. The boys play Monday at home against Laville at 4:30 and then travel to North Liberty on Tuesday. Come out and support the team.
The Riverside 6th grade B team improved their record to 7-0 for the year this week. On Monday the boys defeated Milford by a score of 34-6. Caleb Gawronski led the team with 10 points, Ezra Winkle 8, Mitch Rose and Devon Schoff each had 4, and Alex Baca, Justin Moser, Tyler Voreis, and Hamza Yasin each had 2 points. On Tuesday the B team defeated Tippy Valley by a score of 45-2. Alex Baca led the team with 12 points, Tim Tremaine 6, Payten Dodson, Caleb Gawronski, Jeremy Martin, Mitch Rose, and Hamza Yasin all had 4 points, Devon Schoff, Luke Walters, and Keeten Rippy each had 2, and Ezra Winkle had 1 point. The boys play at home against Laville on Monday at 4:30 and travel to Tippy Valley on Tuesday.
