12/17/12 On Friday, December 14th Officer Kerry Brouyette with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department released details of a two vehicle accident at US 30 and King Road involving a 1974 International Farm Tractor and a 2011 Volvo semi.  The accident happened on Thursday, December 6th about 5:45 in the evening.

The crash was initially called in as a property damage accident with no injuries but it was later discovered that one of the drivers involved received injuries in the crash.

The crash report states that 53 year old Philip Godshalk of Plymouth was driving the tractor and pulling a mixer.  He pulled up to the intersection and stopped for the traffic light.  Godshalk was unaware that the loader portion of the tractor was sticking out too far into the intersection and the Volvo semi driven by 44 year old Oudou Ousseini of Cincinnati collided with the loader portion of the tractor.

The fork of the tractor’s loader went into the passenger side cab portion of the semi causing a substantial amount of damage to the semi.  The tractor also sustained substantial damage to the loader and front portion of the tractor.

Officer Brouyette had the Marshall County Dispatch Center send Plymouth Fire and EMS to the scene when he learned that the driver of the semi sustained injuries in the accident.

Lyon’s Wrecker Service and Carnegie Towing assisted with clean up and removal of both vehicles from the crash site.
