12/07/12  The 5th annual Shop With A Cop Radio Auction begins at 8:15 a.m. today.  There are over 400 items on the auction block this year.  We have something for everyone for toys and day care to sub sandwiches and pizzas.  There are small and large items like fantastic jewelry to a 7 foot Christmas tree.  We have NASCAR items including a front end clip from Ryan Newman’s car, a couple of autographed die-cast Tony Stewart cars and even a neon Miller Light beer sign with #2.

This year Young’s TV & Appliances donated a brand new upright freezer and we have pound pounds of grain-feed beef to go in it.  Oliver Ford has donated a trip with your choice of three to choose from and there’s a $500 gift certificate for Tires from the Auto Park.

The community has really stepped up to help Shop With A Cop this year.  There’s Coca Cola for a year, tickets to a Komets Hockey game, a Notre Dame miniature Helmet, and four tickets to the Globetrotters.

There’s tons of stuff and you can see the items in their half hour blocks by checking out our website at am1050.com.  On the main page you will find a Shop With A Cop Santa pushing a shopping cart on the right side of the page.  Click on it and you will go to the auction site.  Most of the items have photos you can click on to see too.

Bidders are asked to call WTCA at 936-4096 to get a bid number.

Applications for assistance through Shop With A Cop are available at WTCA and the Boys & Girls Club but they are due back by 4 p.m. today.
