07/03/12 As part of the new smoking ban in Indiana, Hoosiers are being urged to take the next step and stop smoking.  Indiana has the Tobacco Quitline  800-QUITNOW and online at   www.IndianaQuitline.net. These are FREE services offered the citizens of Indiana.

The Indiana Tobacco Quitline is a free phone-based counseling service that helps Indiana smokers quit. Services include: one on one coaching for tobacco users who have decided to quit,  resources for healthcare providers who want to improve patient outcomes, best practices for employers who want to implement smoke-free policies, support for family and friends who want to help loved ones stop smoking and tools for tobacco control partners to complement their current programs

Services are available to you 7 days-a-week in more than 170 languages.
A trained quit coach will work with you and provide solutions tailored to your needs.

Smoking Cessation Programs are offered at various time from various organizations with various fees in our area.  This is a list of the current programs being offered and by whom:

AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION uses the Stop Smoking computer modules Freedom From Smoking.  Cost is $15 for 3months or $40 for a year subscription. They also have available Not-On-Tobacco geared toward 14 to 19 year olds. http://www.lung.org/stop-smoking/how-to-quit/getting-help/

FITNESS FORUM AT LIFEPLEX  ,2855 Miller Drive in Plymouth offers 7 consecutive weekly sessions and one session 48 hours after last date. Included in the $30 fee is a 2 month membership to Fitness Forum. The next session is July 10 thru August 21. Registration for that class ends July 3rd. 574.936.2333
