GOSHEN, IN – Jose Martinez, Goshen High School senior recently signed his National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Letter of Intent to join the men’s soccer program at Ancilla College where he will play Left Back for the Chargers.
Martinez was a two year varsity letter winner at Goshen, where he was a part of the 2014 Boys’ Soccer State Championship team. During his high school career, Martinez was voted the “Beets” Hoke Teamwork Award recipient and received the NLC honorable Mention All-Conference award.
“I chose Ancilla because of the opportunity to continue my athletic career,” said Martinez. “It is also a great way to start my post-high school career.”
“We are very excited to have someone like Jose join our program,” said Ancilla men’s soccer coach Dave Jacobs. “Jose exemplifies everything I am looking for in a student athlete. His leadership both on and off the field really caught my attention and is why we pursued Jose to play at Ancilla.”
