02/24/12 Marshall County Police Officer Brandon Cooper regularly patrols the roadways in LaPaz and routinely stops vehicle for traffic infractions.  Last Sunday morning just after 5 Officer Cooper was running radar in LaPaz and clocked a vehicle traveling 68 miles per hour in a posted 35 miles per hour speed zone.  A traffic stop was initiated at US 31 and 1st Road.  During the investigation it was determined that the driver and two passengers were in possession of marijuana.   The subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail for booking.

The driver, Jason White was charged with possession of marijuana and reckless driving.  His bond was set at $1,000 cash.

The two passengers, James White and Fallon White were charged with possession of marijuana.  Fallon White’s bond was set at $1,000 while James’ bond was set at $2,000.

All three suspects were given a court date of March 27th at 8:30 a.m. in Marshall Superior Court II.

A report is being submitted to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s office for formal charges.
