O4/16/12 On Wednesday, April 11th at 8:10 A.M. Argos Police Officer Corey Bowman was called to the Grossman funeral home in reference to an unknown Hispanic male who was sleeping in the residential area of the funeral home.

The suspect was immediately recognized by the officer as Sam Ferreran, an employee of McDonalds in Argos. Officer Bowman also immediately recognized that the subject was intoxicated. Officer Bowman took Sam into custody for Residential Entry. He was handcuffed and placed in office Bowman’s patrol vehicle.

While Officer Bowman was in the process of handing out statement forms the suspect exited the patrol vehicle and started running northbound on Michigan Street.

Several Marshall County officers responded and conducted a search for the suspect but they were unable to locate him.

At1:30 PM Wednesday afternoon Officer Bowman observed Ferreran near the intersection of Walnut and Michigan Street in Argos. Officer Bowman approached him and he was taken back into custody without incident.

During the booking process at the Marshall County Jail it was discovered that the suspect, Sam Ferrera was actually Efrain S. Torres.

EfrainS. Torres was arrested for Residential Entry and Escape.
