09/25/12 On Saturday, September 22nd at 8:15 PM ,the Stark County Dispatch Center received a call from Norfolk Southern advising of an accident on the railroad tracks on Division Road in Starke County. Upon arrival of a Knox City Officer, dispatch was advised that a Norfolk Southern repair truck on the railroad tracks had been hit by a Norfolk Southern train. No one was in the vehicle at the time of impact and there were no injuries. Norfolk Southern is investigating this incident and due to the accident the railroad crossing at 300 East to Williams Street was closed.
