On Tuesday, June 20th, at about 5:30 in the afternoon Officer Ayala with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop at Casey’s Gas Station on East Jefferson Street.

During the traffic stop, the driver, 69-year-old Frederick Kramp of 10924 Lincoln Highway in Plymouth, was checked through standardized field sobriety testing.

Upon further investigation, the results of a chemical test indicated that Mr. Kramp was over four times the legal limit for alcohol. He was transported to Marshall County Jail and booked for, Operating While Intoxicated with a BAC of .15% or higher, Operating While Intoxicated with a prior within seven years, and Habitual Traffic Violator. His cash bond was set at $1,500.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
