235 students from Triton Elementary School participated in the week long Northern Indiana Sumdog Math Contest. Combined they answered 63,343 questions correctly. Triton ended up in 5th place out of 16 schools participating. For the overall student leader-board, in 5th place was Lexia Hostrawser (Mrs. Shively’s 4th grade) with a score of 938 points, in 7th place Haley Rensberger (Mrs. Shively’s 4th grade) with a score of 913 points, in 8th place Ty Ferry (Ms. Hostrawser’s 5th grade) with a score of 910 points, and in 10th place Ashton Oviedo (Mrs. Strycker’s 3rd grade) with a score of 906 points.

Sumdog is an online web-based math site. It’s a free access site. Triton teachers just discovered it a month or so ago.
