11/14/12 Sixth Grade students at Triton Elementary School were given instructions for packing meals for the “Feed my Starving Children” service learning project which was held on Wednesday, November 7th.  The sixth graders attended the activity with the Triton High School wrestling team.

“I cannot tell you how proud I am of the 120 student and staff members that attended the Feed My Starving Children meal pack last week.  The Triton Elementary sixth graders teamed up with the Triton High School Varsity Wrestling team to make an impact on our community and world.”   In just two hours of their time at this worthy cause the students were able to pack 93,312 meals packed which will feed 255 kids fed for a year.

A special thanks to Mrs. Evelyn Stichter for her time, efforts and willingness to step up as a motivator, model, tour guide, and cheer leader. After packing each box in their group the students would shout “TROJANS.”
