04/05/12 Wednesday afternoon members of the Culver Dive Team; Brandon Cooper, Bob Cooper Jr. and Jerry Siler along with County Police Officers and DNR officers responded to Lake Maxinkuckee for a pick-up truck that was in the lake.
About 2:15 in the afternoon 58 year old Cara Lewellen of Culver was backiing a boat and trailer into the water at the public axcess on the west shore with a 2001 Chevy Pick-up truck. Lewellen lost control of the vehicle causing it to be completely submerged in the water. The driver escaped from the vehicle sustaining no major injuries.
