01/03/12 Happy New Year! Especially for Plymouth’s Morgan Uceny. The 2002 state champ is ranked number one in the world!
Track and Field News magazine has named Uceny the world’s top 1500-meter runner. She clocked the world’s fastest time in the 1500-meter event this year, and was favored to win the World Championship in August, but was tripped by another runner and fell during the final race.
In the US national rankings, Uceny is also number-one in the 1500. She is 7th in the 800.
In the US National rankings, Uceny is also No. 1 in the women’s 1500. She is ranked No. 7 in the national rankings for the 800-meter run.
