11/05/12 On Thursday, October 4th the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by the Porter County Sheriff’s Department in reference to a Marshal County juvenile female that had given birth to a stillborn child in their county.
Detective Culp with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department began an investigation into the allegations. It was revealed that she had been having sexual relations with 55 year old Charles E. Barber at a residence on Queen Road in Plymouth.
Mr. Barber of the 800 block of Center Street in Walkerton was located and taken into custody on October 13th 2:20 a.m. He was booked into the Marshall County Jail for Sexual Misconduct with a minor. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Porter County Coroner Office, Porter County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police and Division of Family and Children.
