09/11/12 Washington Discovery Academy’s 4th Grade classes are collecting many items this school year. They are in need of all types of plastic lids to fill the large jug in their front lobby. These lids will be turned into recycling where they will be made into a bench. All types of lids will work including: milk jugs, water and pop bottles, laundry soap bottles, shampoo bottles, butter tubs and more!
Students need to collect 400 pounds of plastic lids for the project. Along with that they need $200. As a way to raise the required money they are also collecting aluminum cans. Anyone wishing to help can drop off their lids and or cans at the school. WTCA will also accept lids for the school.
Washington Discovery Academy is also collecting Campbell’s labels and Box Tops. Campbell’s Labels will help them earn free stuff for their school, while box tops will help them earn cash for the school. Students, families and friends of Washington Discovery Academy will continue to collect pop tabs which will be donated to help Riley’s Children’s Hospital.
