Warren Pleads Guilty to Battery on Son, Judge Sentences him to 3 Years

  01/31/13 On Wednesday morning January 30th, 29 year old Christopher Warren pleaded guilty to one count of battery resulting in bodily injury, a class D felony.

The sentence imposed by Marshall Superior Court I Judge, Robert Bowen was three years imprisonment at the Indiana Dept. of Corrections.  Judge Bowen also stipulated no time suspended so Warren will serve all three years.

On August 7th, 2012 the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department a complainant came to the County Police Department suggesting that Mr. Warren has abused a dependent child the night before. Witnesses told police they had observed Christopher Warren strike the child several times on the back with his fists and hands.

Warren was arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Jail on a class D felony for battery resulting in bodily injury and neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily injury a class C felony.

The Department of Child Services and Detective Duane Culp investigated the case and arrested Warren the next day.  Lodged with a $20,000 cash bond, Warren has been held in the County Jail since that date.
