South Bend Woman Arrested for Theft of Coins

  06/18/13 On Monday, June 10th the Plymouth Police Department received a report from a subject living in the 300 block of North Plum Street in Plymouth regarding a burglary and theft from the victim’s residence. Allegedly a large amount of coins had been taken from the residence.

An investigation revealed that a large amount of coins had been cashed in at Kroger’s in Plymouth on the morning of June 10th. Video evidence showed a male and female with the coins. These subjects were able to be identified later.

The unnamed male subject was questioned and implicated the female identified as 21 year old, Tomica Teetz of South Bend. Tomica Teetz had been visiting a neighbor of the victim on the night of the burglary.

Detective Mangus located Tomica Teetz on Friday, June 14 in South Bend. She was then taken into custody and transported to Plymouth. During questioning Teetz admitted to the offense and was later transported to the Marshall County Jail with a bond of $20,000.00 surety bond or a $5,000 cash bond.
