TCU Recognizes Students at Riverside Intermediate School

  06/05/13 Each 9-week grading period at Riverside Intermediate School student work to increase their reading achievement by participating in Achieve3000. Teachers’ Credit Union partners with Riverside to provide incentives for students each grading period.  Students who read two articles per week are provided with tickets that they place in a drop-box in the school’s office.  A random drawing is then held each 9-weeks and TCU provides two Kindles to the drawn winners.

 

The winners on Thursday, May 30 were 6th grade student Kacee Peters and 5th grade student Kole Jones.  Making the presentation of the Kindles was Beth Styers from TCU.

  Teachers’ Credit Union also helps the school with incentives to encourage perfect attendance.  With this program students and staff at Riverside Intermediate School are recognized each quarter for being on time and having perfect attendance at school. Advanced Math teacher Megan Walleske was the staff winner and student winners were Gabriella Allen, Kaylen Andrzejewski, Evan Zeigler, Anthony Woods were recognized for Qt 4.  Making the presentation was Beth Stylers, TCU representative.
