Sweet Corn Festival “2nd Fridays in Downtown Plymouth

  08/06/13 The Plymouth Chamber of Commerce wants everyone to join them this Friday, August 9th from 6-8 p.m. for this month’s 2nd Friday event in downtown Plymouth!   

This month they are celebrating the harvest of sweet corn, with a “Sweet Corn Festival.”  Roasted sweet corn and tasty sausage sandwiches will be available outside A.S.K. for Flowers for a $1 each.

 Musical entertainment includes Randy Jones and Mike Lintner who will be performing from 7-8pm by the Marshall County Museum and the  bounce house for children will be on Garro Street provided by Plymouth Bounce.  Activities continue with Corn hole games at Yoder’s and L & K Serendipity along with kids tattoo and face painting at L & K Serendipity.  La Dezert Café will be opening their new Cupcake Bar you can purchase a cupcake and decorate it the way you want it and Harriet’s Closet will have ½ price off everything yellow.

In addition to cooking the corn and sausages A.S. K. For Flowers will be having a Gir-affle…buy any 2 Melissa and Doug items with a minimum combined $10 value and be entered to win a 4’ 8” Giraffe valued at $100. 

At 6: 30 it’s a corn eating contest in front of the chamber and the winner will receive $25 in Chamber Bucks.  Marshall County Museum will host a PowerPoint presentation by Kurt Garner “The Architectural History of Downtown Plymouth at 7 PM.
