Wed. & Thur. Arrests by City Officers

  08/26/13  On Wednesday, August 21st at 1:58 p.m. Plymouth Police Officer John Weir responded to Advance Auto in reference to an employee theft.  During the investigation it was discovered that 37 year old Victor Lugo of Plymouth who was an employee of Advance Auto had been ordering parts for customers and not securing a deposit or payment for the merchandise.  It was also found that Lugo had allowed customers to leave the store with merchandise without paying for the items.  Mr. Lugo was taken into custody for Theft and was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $1,505 bond.

Later Wednesday night at 7:35 p.m. Officer Derek Workman conducted a traffic stop at Michigan Street and 6A Road.   During the investigation  it was found that 33 year old Richard Bacon of Plymouth, a passenger in the vehicle was wanted on two active warrants through Marshall County.  Bacon was taken into custody for Check Deception and Failure to Appear and was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $755 bond.

On Thursday, August 22nd at 3:28 p.m. Officer Workman located 48 year old David B. Frazier of Plymouth at the corner of Jefferson and Michigan Streets.  Officer Workman knew that Frazier had an active warrant for his arrest.  Frazier was taken into custody for Failure to Appear on a Probation Violation and was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $405 bond.  He was later released that night after posting bond and received a Tuesday, August 27th Superior 1 Court date to appear.

A short time later at 3:39 p.m. Officer Workman observed 23 year old Cameron J. Barber of Plymouth walking out of the Marathon Gas Station at Michigan and Jefferson.  Officer Workman knew that Barber had an active warrant through Marshall County.  As Officer Workman, assisted by Officer Emenhiser attempted to approach Barber he fled on foot running south through the alley between Michigan and Water Streets.  Barber fled into the building at 110 North Michigan Street.  After an hour long search by Plymouth Officers and Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy Jonathon Bryant, Mr. Barber was located in a space between the basement wall and cement wall and taken into custody.  Officers also located a small amount of Marijuana on Barber.  He was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on the active warrant for Probation Violation, and received additional charges of Possession of Marijuana and Resisting Law Enforcement with a cash bond of $3,005.
