Plymouth School Board Approves IMESSC Name

September 13, 2013

09/16/13 After months of renovations, the Service Center of the Plymouth Schools is completed. Along with the improvements, the facility has a new name, ITAMCO Manufacturing Education School Service Center (IMESSC).

The building has spaces for the Technology Department, Alternative School, Transportation Department, In-School Suspension, GED program, and Director of Safety and Security along with classroom space for CNC classes. ITAMCO has provided the equipment and instruction for the classes that are intended to train students for specific skills.

ITAMCO’s Mark Neidig has been one of the driving forces behind the entire project. He attended the School Board meeting on September 10 when the Board unanimously approved the new name. Several Board members expressed their appreciation for his work and his families’ contributions to the community. Also attending was Jerry Hollenbaugh who oversees vocational education throughout the region. Hollenbaugh said the investment that ITAMCO has made is tremendous.

According to Superintendent Daniel Tyree, a canopy will be added to the entrance of the building that will have IMESSC printed on it.
