10/21/13 On Saturday, October 5th at 3:30 p.m. Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy Les McFarland took a report from Huff’s Septic and Sewer located on 3rd Road of unauthorized purchases on their debit/credit card. The companies debit/credit card was to be used for fuel purchases only. During the investigation it was suspected that an employee identified as 34 year old Jeffery L. Smalley had been using the card to purchase food and other items.
Deputy McFarland located and arrested Smalley for Theft as a class D felony and Fraud as a class D felony. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $3,005 bond.
