11/01/13 Donna Burroughs, Superintendent of the Triton Community School recently issued several press releases.  They are below:

 

  Students in Mrs. Jackson’s 7th grade science class at Triton Jr.-Sr. High School are enjoying science.

Sidney Pflueger, Bree Smith, Trevor Miller, and Rayanne Katschke are learning how to work as a team for their Project Lead the Way class.

 

 

                                                                                                    

  The Triton Jr.-Sr.High School choirs and bands held their annual fall concert on Tuesday, October 29th, following a fundraising dinner. All groups had outstanding performances!   Mr. Pete Foster is the director of all groups.  Thanks to everyone who supported the music department by attending their fundraising dinner and concert.

 

  Juniors, Andrew Chupp and Lisa Otto, have been selected to represent Triton Jr.-Sr. High School in the annual Richard G. Lugar Symposium for Tomorrow’s Leaders on Saturday, December 7th. The Lugar Symposium is designed to expose some of the best and brightest young minds in Indiana – our future leaders – to current global issues.

Hosted by the Richard G. Lugar Academy at the University of Indianapolis, this year marks the 37th Anniversary of the Lugar Symposium.

The day’s activities will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will conclude at approximately 4:30 p.m. Senator Lugar will provide the keynote address, and students will have an opportunity to attend two afternoon sessions focusing on current events. Lunch will be provided, and there will be no cost to the participants beyond normal travel expenses.
