10/07/13 A moped accident Sunday afternoon killed a LaPaz man.
Marshall County Coroner Bill Cleavenger said 63 year old Terry L. Rush of the 3100 block of Olive Road was southbound on Olive Road just north of 4th Road and for an unknown reason lost control of the moped and crash on the northbound shoulder.
Mr. Rush was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head and chest.
Cleavenger said there were no witnesses to the crash.
Marshall County Sheriff’s officers were assisted at the scene by LaPaz Fire and EMS and Polk Township Fire.
