Park Board Approves TE Grant Application for Phase II of Greenway Trail

  11/05/13 Plymouth Park Superintendent Mike Hite recently attended an informational meeting concerning INDOT grants. 

Hite said TE (Transportation Enhancement) Grants are conducting call outs for projects.  He told Park Board members Monday evening that in 2011 the city applied for a TE Grant for phase two of the Greenway Trail.  Although unsuccessful, the plans are ready to go and all they need to do is up-date the previous application. 

Phase II of the Greenway Trail will begin in front of the Blueberry Festival Office on East Jefferson, crossing over to the south through Gill Park, over the Yellow River and into Riverpark Square.   

Hite said, “Although the application has to be submitted by the middle of next month, construction for the projects that are scheduled for the summer of 2017.

The Plymouth Park Board unanimously approved Hite’s request to submit an application for the next TE grant round.
