12/23/13 Results are in for this year’s Penny Wars at elementary schools in the Plymouth Community School Corporation. Collectively some of the youngest members of this Marshall County community raised $2,076.69 to help 22 agencies supported by United Way of Marshall County (UWMC). Students from Jefferson, Menominee, Washington, and Webster Elementary Schools annually conduct this fundraiser for United Way. “It’s a wonderful gift that means so much,” said Linda Yoder, UWMC’s Executive Director. “These students are helping others and are great messengers too about the joy of giving! We love hearing stories from teachers and administrators about their enthusiasm – and you can just see it on their faces too!”
